Okay so I have had my 3rd Gen Nest thermostats (three of them) for 2+ years. The two units I have on my lower floors pose no problem and are simple 2-wire heat-only configurations. The one upstairs, which was my original purchase is now no longer calling for heat in that zone and is displaying E74 no power to Rh wire.

My advise would be, gather the power readings from the Nest by going to Technical Info when it's showing the E74, gather both readings with and without the C wire. Share a picture of the wiring on your old T and the wiring in the Nest. Try connecting the power wire into Rc instead of Rh.
