Jul 12, 2009 · I took a test a few hours after my first bfp and it was lighter. I think it just depends on the test its self. I wouldnt worry too much. :) I took my tests on the 26th and so far nothing bad to report.

I’ve been periodically testing about once a week and the lines are progressively getting lighter. I have had no bleeding, and am still experiencing symptoms like minor nausea and breast tenderness. While it’s true that HCG usually starts to decrease around the end of the first trimester, it doesn’t go back down to week 3 or 4 levels; it’s typically still in the tens of thousands at 9 weeks.
