Do i have fleas or am i just paranoid

I will ask my parents to help wash everything often. I'm thinking of getting some pet safe flea spray for inside the house that kills fleas. Do you have any input on those? Also side note: my parents don't really seem to think this is a big deal as I've mentioned. My dad thinks I didn't see any fleas and it must've just been dirt or something.
